“I like to get students playing along to their favourite songs as soon as possible. It’s how I learned to play and helped to cement my love of the drums. Once you have learned a few basic grooves we will break down songs so you can see how those grooves relate to the music.”
Learning Techniques
“While learning songs we will no doubt come across tricky grooves and fills. I use this as a way to introduce students to drum rudiments and correct techniques. I find this is a great way to show how important they are with out bogging down students with boring exercises with no sight of the end goal.”
