Beginner Drum Lessons Online

With so much information out there I know it can be tough looking for beginner drum lessons online. The truth is you need more than watching some videos, you need someone to watch you play. The start of your drumming journey is an important one. You will need to be checking how you are sat at the drums, checking how you are holding the sticks and making sure you are hitting the drums in the right way.

With Skype you can have beginner drum lessons online from the comfort of your own home and on your own kit. All you need is to download Skype, which is free and have a reasonable fast internet connection (it doesn’t have to be really fast, most people connections are up to scratch these days). By doing this I can help set you on the right path from the start.

I can check if your kit is set up in the best way to suit you. Your height will effect the height of the thrown (Drummer’s stool) as well as the height of the snare, toms and cymbals. Cymbals also need to be set in the right way so they are with in reach and at the right angle. If they are not you can damage yourself and them.

I will also be able to point out if you are doing something slightly wrong which might not sound wrong to you. Something might be really easy to fix at the start but years of doing the same thing could turn into a bad habit that’s hard to get rid of.

I’ll also be on hand to answer any questions you may have. I know with the internet it’s easy to type in a question but sometimes it’s good to get feedback from a real person who has experience in the subject. If you are wondering if a certain groove suits a song you can show me over Skype and I’ll tell you that it’s great. If not I’ll be able to point out where you can improve it or change it to suit the song.
